A major area of interest for him has been a close understanding of behavioural patterns in children which was triggered as be saw patients along with his father who is a busy and Reputed paediabrician of Bombay.

He realised the importance of hte mental state & the need to corelate it with the physical symptoms of children, taking note of the behaviour and mannerisms of the parents during the Case Taking and thus the need to corelate the important observations of the chhild with that of one of the parents whose state matches with that of the child and link them together A clear understanding of the childhood state also helped him in prescribing for his adult patients. Dr. Anand has presented various papers in medical seminars on this subject and has tectured in Several Countries all over the world.

His other areas of interest include sports, study of martial arts, music & vedantic philosophy which have ocntributed substantially towards his approach to life and to his science.
